Well I just got the okay from Rantz tonight to officially say yeah, I've got a strip in the upcoming comics anthology based on the songs of Tori Amos. You can read all about it in the January issue of SPIN magazine. The interview became more of a blurb with a lovely illustration by Hope Larson. Right next to a piece on Gerald Way's Umbrella Academy. The piece is part of a feature on comics and music.
I'm pretty jazzed about the anthology. I've dug her music for a long time. Saw her twice in concert so yeah, you could say I'm a fan. Tori doesn't play Columbus much anymore which makes me sad. :( The anthology boasts a nice sampling from the art comic scene to the mainstream. Some other Chemsetters are in it as well as some of the Act-I-Vate gang. We're shooting for a summer release from Image Comics. The book will be available on tour with Tori, in stores and hell bent on world domination. Truly two great tastes that go together as she's an admittedly avid comics devotee.
